The Story

Strawberry milkshakes have been a sweet shop staple since the 1920s American soda fountain era, when strawberry syrup was one of the most popular flavours served at American milk bars and ice cream parlors. The vibrant pink colour and sweet, fruity flavour made strawberry an iconic shake flavour alongside chocolate and vanilla.

Strawberries were first cultivated in Brittany, France in the 1750s from a cross between wild strawberry varieties from North America and Chile. By the 19th century, strawberry cultivation had spread across Europe and America, and strawberry-flavoured confections became widely available — eventually making their way into the milkshake culture of the 20th century.

At Cappadocia, our strawberry thickshake blends premium strawberry ice cream with real strawberry sauce — a genuinely fruity, vibrant shake that delivers the fresh sweetness of strawberry in a thick, indulgent glass.
