Australia's favourite sparkling citrus refresher

The Story
Lemon Lime & Bitters (LLB) is an Australian original — a uniquely Australian bar and cafe drink that has been served since the mid-20th century. It combines lemonade (sparkling lemon drink) with fresh lime juice and a dash of Angostura bitters — an aromatic herbal concentrate from Trinidad, originally developed as a stomach remedy by German Dr Johann Gottlieb Benjamin Siegert in 1824.
The drink became a staple of Australian pub and cafe culture as a non-alcoholic alternative that still delivers complexity and flavour. The Angostura bitters add a unique aromatic depth from over 40 botanicals — gentian root, citrus peel, cinnamon, and other spices — giving the simple citrus drink a sophisticated edge. It is particularly popular as a sophisticated non-alcoholic option for designated drivers and those avoiding alcohol.
At Cappadocia, our Lemon Lime Bitter is made fresh — lemonade, fresh lime juice, sparkling water, and a dash of bitters over ice — a refreshing, complex, and completely non-alcoholic drink with genuine Australian heritage.

Angostura bitters contain over 40 different plant-based ingredients, the exact recipe of which has been kept secret for 200 years by the House of Angostura in Trinidad. The label is famously larger than the bottle — a design mistake in an 1880s competition that became a permanent branding feature.
